Distribution Dates for Checks
OCA has announced the following dates for the distribution of the checks:
Check date 3/1/2023:
- Ratification Bonus
Check Date 3/15/2023:
- AL/CT Exchange Payments
Check Date 3/29/2023:
- 2021 and 2022 Retro Salary Increases
- Retro increases to Longevity Bonuses, [CSEA] Longevity Payments and SLED
Check Date 4/26/2023:
- 3% Salary Increase [eff. April 1, 2023]
Check Date 5/24/2023:
- Retro uniform and blazer allowance, location pay and SOS, along with the annual increase applicable to these benefits [eff. April 1, 2023]
TIME FRAMES FOR ADJUSTMENTS TO DEFERRED COMP: If anyone wishes to make adjustments to deferred comp before the March 1 check, OCA advises to call the HELPLINE at 1-800-422-8463 or email at participant.service@nysdcp.com. Deferred comp office is available to answer questions Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Don’t include personal information in the email.
TIME FRAMES FOR ADJUSTMENTS TO W-4: If anyone wishes to make adjustments to W-4 form, the Payroll Department advises that the employee make the changes through NYS Payroll online. Employees will have until February 22nd to do so in time for the March 1st check. If the form is sent to Payroll, however, i.e., not done electronically via their NYS Payroll Online account, Payroll must have he form in hand no later than February 15th.
Regarding the AL/Comp Exchange Program, people have asked if their application will be acknowledged when it is received. The form will be acknowledged only AFTER it is processed, not before. We are advised to date, OCA has received over 1,000 applications and all applications must be reviewed manually and they cannot start the process before tomorrow.
