I am honored to serve as a Director of the Welfare Fund and take seriously the responsibility entrusted to me. My focus is on supporting a foundation of trust, transparency, and long-term financial stability in the administration of the Fund. NJDCEA has my full commitment to careful review, organization, and responsible oversight. Through my prior roles, I have gained hands-on experience that translates directly to the detailed and methodical work required of this position. I understand that effective fund management requires precision, consistency, and an appreciation for both regulatory obligations and member needs. My commitment extends beyond numbers alone. I value advocacy and understand that every dollar spent must be purposeful and aligned with the interests of our members. Serving on this Fund means ensuring that resources are used thoughtfully and in a manner that directly supports the people the Fund exists to serve. My experience organizing events and managing initiatives has reinforced the importance of strategic planning, collaboration, and accountability. That background has shaped my approach to evaluating expenditures and ensuring that decisions are sound, defensible, and beneficial to the membership as a whole. I also value collaboration and recognize that the effective administration of the Welfare Fund depends on strong working relationships among the Directors, the Executive Board, and professional advisors. I am committed to contributing to those partnerships in a constructive and transparent way, with the shared goal of maintaining a well-managed and responsive Fund for our members.

Logan has worked for the courts since 2022. She recently was promoted to a Senior court clerk and is located at 111 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Before being appointed to the board of directors , she was a union delegate for over a year and was a part of the benefits committee. She hopes to contribute in any way or means to our union, as per her strong passion for helping others.

My name is Petagay Ratley-Newton, Senior Court Clerk with Yonkers Family Court. I started in the court system in July of 2001, assigned to Yonkers Family Court as a Principal Office Assistant and was promoted to Senior Court Clerk in November, 2010. I also enjoyed the opportunity of working in Manhattan Supreme Civil, as well as the Bronx Family Court. During my time with the Unified Court System, I have worked alongside many Judges, Principal Law Clerks and clerks with whom I have had the pleasure of learning from, in addition to mentoring new clerks to the courts. My heart is where I can assist the Judges while in the courtroom, ensuring the families that appear before us, leave knowing they were treated with professionalism and fairness.

Emily Fabrizio started her career in the Unified Court System in June 2004 serving as Principal Law Clerk in Family Court, Rockland County. While her position was precipitous due to a lost election, she continued her career as Principal County Attorney for the Rockland County Attorney’s Office from 2005 through 2007 and then as a Principal Attorney for The Mental Hygiene Legal Services in Rockland County from 2007 through 2014. She then returned to the Court System in 2015 serving as Principal Law Clerk in Supreme Court, Rockland County. In 2016 she began serving as Court Attorney Referee in Supreme Court, Orange County until her transfer to Rockland County in 2023. She describes her role in the NJDCEA as an opportunity to assist Rockland County members with any and all questions and issues that may arise in the workplace. Her 20 years of experience in the state and court system as well as her 10 years as a practicing attorney has prepared her for any challenges that may arise and to diligently represent the best interest of our members. She resides in New City with her husband, Johan, her two sons, Marcus and Gianni and her canine children, Leo and Emma.

Stevia has been a court assistant since 2022 and is currently in the civil calendar office located at 111 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd. She is a mom to two strong willed daughters who are both attending universities in DC. Stevia also owns a Greek restaurant in White plains named Anasa. Stevia hopes to be the strong bridge between the members of the union and the board of directors representing the union members as their delegate striving to create a productive and rewarding workplace.

I am a graduate of SUNY Oneonta. I started my career with the UCS March 2022 as a Clerical Assistant. After 5 months I was promoted to my current position of Court Assistant. I currently work in the New Rochelle Family Court.
